“Transparent World” is a non-profit and non-governmental partnership. Using space images it implements programs and projects for the scientific and applied environmental researches, education, design, tourism and study of local lore.

Transparent World has two goals:

- To make satellite imagery broadly accessible, and - To encourage the use of this data in such fields as education, environment, tourism, WEB- and TV-design.

It is rather difficult for NGOs such as state organizations, schools, institutes and universities to buy space images because of their high price. “Image libraries” program, being implemented by NGO “Transparent World”, has an objective to make space images accessible to all interested people and organizations.
